Volvo Engine Not Working
 

Your car is your ticket to freedom, so, understandably, people get so frustrated when theirs do not start. Before you panic, our service team would like to tell you some of the more common reasons that this may be happening. Some issues have quick and easy fixes, while others will require professional help.

1. Out of Gas

 

Maybe you were planning to get gas in the morning, or maybe your fuel gauge is inaccurate. Either way, it is possible that your car is not starting because it has no gas. Luckily, this is an easy fix. If your gas gauge still showed you had fuel when you did not, however, you will want to bring it to our service center.

2. Dead Battery

 

Car batteries can die for a variety of reasons. It could be a light left on because a door was not closed all the way. Or, the temperature could have fluctuated greatly. A dead battery may be able to be jumped, but it should be replaced soon.

3. Faulty Ignition

 

If your vehicle is not starting, check to see if any of the lights will turn on. This would indicate that the battery is working fine and your problem is elsewhere. It may be your ignition, which would require a technician to evaluate and repair.

 

4. Starter Failure

 

The starter is responsible for turning your engine over when you turn the ignition. This is yet another part that can fail over time. If the starter has gone, you will need to have your vehicle towed for repair.

5. Clogged Fuel Filter

 

Your engine needs to get a steady flow of gasoline in order to run. A clogged fuel filter will prevent this from happening. You can get more information on how often your specific vehicle's fuel filter should be changed from your owner's manual.
