What's New For the 2021 Nissan Murano?
For the 2021 model year, the Nissan Murano doesn't see significant changes. The latest Murano is still capable, agile, and adept SUV that can comfortably seat up to five people. The Murano offers a range of seating material that starts with cloth seats at the entry-level and progresses to leather seats on the higher-end trims. The Murano is also equipped with special Zero Gravity seats that offer a more comfortable and exhilarating ride.
Although luxurious on the inside, the Murano has a sporty exterior that is offered with additional features up the line, including several different shades of roof rails on the mid-level and higher-level trims. Several wheel sizes are available with the 2021 Nissan Murano as well. Technology is a highlight of the well-connected Murano that includes USB and USB-C charging ports, even at the base level.
2021 Murano Is Impressive No Matter Which Trim You Choose
Consumers can choose from four trims in the 2021 Nissan Murano family. The first Murano in 2021 is called the S. The S trim has all the basic information and technology features you'd need and expect in a modern SUV, including an infotainment system with an eight-inch display screen and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The base trim gets two USB charging ports, one in the front row, and one USB-C charging port in the second row.
The seats in the back row fold flat to accommodate even more luggage and gear in the cargo area. The SV adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel for additional comfort, and it also gets power-adjustable front seats. The SL is the third trim in the Murano lineup. It has larger 20-inch wheels, silver roof rails, LED fog lights on the front end, and a steering wheel that is heated and wrapped in leather. The Platinum gets climate-controlled ventilated front seats, premium leather seats with a quilted diamond pattern, and a moonroof.

How Well Does the 2021 Nissan Murano Perform?
One standard 3.5-liter V6 engine powers all 2021 Nissan Murano trims. This engine pushes out 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with the Nissan Xtronic CVT automatic transmission. You can choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive on all four Nissan Murano trim levels in 2021.
Nissan Murano Safety Features
The S trim comes with automatic emergency braking, while more safety is offered on the SV and up. Starting with the SV, you can get the Safety Shield 360 bundle with cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and forward-collision warning.
