Nissan is constantly looking for ways to create new technologies that will help improve the lives of its drivers. That’s why they have partnered with architecture design firm Foster + Partners to create their vision for the “future of mobility.”

These future plans include drawing up what infrastructure could look like for future autonomous, electric and hybrid cars; vehicles that will need a large swatch of available fueling stations to make practical in the long run.

"Technology holds many of the answers for the challenges we face in our cities today," said Paul Willcox, chairman, Nissan Europe. "However, the true power comes when those technologies are integrated with each other and the world around us. We've been at the forefront of zero emission technology since 2010, but our vision does not stop there. We believe that the future of transportation is reliant on both infrastructure and the environment. We're looking for real, workable solutions that go beyond the product."

Nissan’s newest endeavor is a part of their Intelligent Mobility program that’s working to integrate several current technologies, such as battery storage, autonomous driving and wireless charging. As of now, plans to implement these technologies is focused mainly on European cities, however, we hope that Nissan will widen its scope in the next few years to here in the state.
