When you purchase a new car from Nissan, the automaker sends you home with an added boost of confidence and a layer of protection through its manufacturer warranty plans. Nissan's warranties cover many parts of your car. A warranty will cover all expenses related to replacing the car's components, making necessary repairs, and sometimes even towing if your vehicle can't be driven due to defective or broken parts. Along with the factory warranties, which are standard on select model years, you can add additional protection through supplemental MPP plans available now through Nissan of McKinney. New Vehicle Limited Warranty

The New Vehicle Limited Warranty is a comprehensive coverage policy. The warranty starts the day the car is first driven or delivered to the new owner. The Limited Warranty provides coverage for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. It covers replacement or repair costs for original parts that break or are defective during the active warranty period.

Powertrain Warranty

Nissan's Powertrain Warranty covers replacement and repair costs for original components that break within the first 60 months you own the car or the first 60,000 miles you drive. The warranty covers defects or other problems with material and workmanship. Coverage applies to the engine, transmission, transaxle, and safety restraint system.

Corrosion Coverage

This coverage is valid for the first 60 months that you own or operate your Nissan, regardless of miles driven. This warranty covers the costs associated with repairing or replacing body sheet metal panels damaged by excessive rust or corrosion during normal use.

Seat Belt Warranty

If the seat belts in your car break or fail to work properly within the first ten years you own or drive your car, Nissan will replace the belts at no cost. The parts must be the original components, and repairs must be made at a Nissan dealer to qualify for adequate coverage under warranty.

Emissions Warranty

Emissions systems are also covered in Nissan's factory warranties. The Emission Performance warranty will remedy any issue in your vehicle which causes it to fail an approved emissions test during the first 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The Emission Defects warranty covers any repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship which would cause your vehicle not to meet applicable emission standards. This warranty is for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever  comes first. In addition, certain vital emission components are covered for up to 8 years or 80,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
