What's New For the 2019 Nissan Murano?

Nissan Murano, currently in the third generation since its inception in 2015 comes with a bit more tech features and convenience in the 2019 model. The upgrade comes to ensure that the model stays competitive in the crossover market.

The 2019 Nissan Murano comes with a redesigned LED headlights and taillights. The two mark the most noticeable exterior changes that give the car a whole new look. On the other hand, the exterior is complemented by the addition of the 20-inch wheels on the SL and Platinum trims. The S and SV also get the new 18-inch wheel design. In matters of comfort and the interior, the Platinum trim comes with a new diamond-quilted seats.

On the other hand, customers have a set of new colors to choose from. The 2019 Nissan Murano introduces a set of three new colors that include Sunset Drift Chromaflair. The color is a lovely red to gold transition color. The other color adopted for the 2019 model is the Deep Blue Pearl borrowed from the GT-R supercar. Finally, you can get it in Mocha Almond.

Incorporated in the 2019 model are standard and optional active and safety features. The new Murano gets a rear door alert function. With the new driver alertness function, distracted and drowsy driving habits are detected and a warning issued. An additional feature across all trims is the USB type C ports. However, the traffic sign recognition tech is optional. The new model also incorporates the Nissan's new Safety Shield 360 pack on the Platinum and SL trims.

Great Trims to Choose From

The 2019 Nissan Murano continues with the previous trims that include S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Additionally, all these trims come with an option of an all-wheel drive(AWD) or front wheel drive (FWD). The Murano exterior gets a little bit aggressive in 2019. Its boldness comes from a bolder grille, new taillight, and headlight design, addition of fog lamps, and new wheel designs. The interior is designed to mimic the design of much more expensive vehicles. The seats are more comfortable and supportive with the leather finish. The base trim comes with an Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SV trim shift knob gets a leather cover, remote start and comes with a ten-way power adjustable driver seat. For advanced music lovers, the SL trim comes with a Bose system with 11 speakers. There is an optional upgrade in the SV and SL trims that include a panoramic moon roof and extra safety features.

2019 Nissan Murano Exterior FrontAll the 2019 Nissan Murano's get powered by a 3.5L V engine. The engine has the capability of producing 260 horsepower and a torque of 240 pound-feet. The standard transmission adopted by the 2019 models is the continuously variable transmission (CVT). The front wheel drive (FWD) come standard to all trims with an option of an all-wheel drive (AWD). The CVT mimics the system of a conventional automatic transmission. However, the CVT provides high efficiency matching the engine fuel economy to that of a 2.0L Ford edge.

2019 Nissan Murano Exterior RearThe 2019 Murano scored excellently in all crash tests from the Insurance for Highway Safety. The 2019 AWD version scored five stars in the tests administered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The FWD scored a four-star. Among other advanced safety features include a reversing camera, forward collision warning, and automatic braking system in all trims. In higher trims such as the SL and Platinum, the Safety Shield 360 provides automatic rear braking, lane departure warning, intervention system, and high beam assist headlights. Included in the safety features is an addition of driver awareness alert and traffic sign recognition feature among others.
