What's New For the 2019 Nissan GT-R Model Review

If fast is what you are looking for, the new Nissan GT-R will surely satisfy you. With 0 to 60 MPH in under 3 seconds and a top speed of almost 200 MPH, this vehicle looks and goes fast. This car is made for driver participation so it is void of most advanced safety features like forward collision alert and lane keeping assistance.

The 2019 model remains unchanged from last year except for a slight price increase on all trim packages except for the base model. A premium interior package comes standard on all models, which includes hand-stitched leather seats.

Which Features are Available for 2019?

There are four different trim packages for this Nissan, the Pure, Premium, Track Edition, and the Nismo. Some of the features include Sirius Radio, Heated driver and passenger seats, Apple Car Play, and Nissan navigation system. Other items are LED lights, rearview monitor, paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel, and a special suspension system with three different modes. The GT-R uses 20-inch wheels and an independent rear-mounted transaxle. There is a multi-function display which is configurable to the driver which has a graphical read-out of driving and vehicle data which is displayed on six screens.

2019 GT-R Powertrain Options

2019 Nissan GT-R Exterior FrontThis is where the GT-R really shines. All models use a twin-turbocharged 3.8 liter V6. Every package except for the Nismo puts out 565 horsepower with 461 pounds of torque. The Nismo ups the ante some with 600 HP and 481 pounds of torque. It uses the all-wheel drive to distribute power to the wheels. All models use an electronically controlled system that puts the power to the wheels needing it most. The GT-R uses a dual clutch with a six-speed transmission and a multi-link rear suspension. Fuel economy is still decent for a car with this much power, 16 in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.

Packed with Safety Features

2019 Nissan GT-R Exterior RearThe GT-R comes with antilock disc brakes, seat belt pretensioners, and stability control which senses when the vehicle has exceeded the handling limits and reduces the engine power while automatically applying the brakes. There are airbags located in the front, sides, and overhead compartments of the vehicle. There is also a security system which disables the ignition if the original manufacturer key is not used.

The 2019 Nissan GT-R is a car for those who love to drive. It has great handling, power, and great looks. This is a vehicle that can be used every day whether you are cruising around town, going on a road trip or even a visit to your local drag strip.
