When you're shopping for a 2017 Nissan GT-R in the Dallas area, you have the option between the GT-R and GT-R NISMO. The standard GT-R comes in a single Premium level with exterior trimmings like LED headlights and running lights, 20-inch wheels, summer run-flat tires and power-folding heated mirrors. The cabin receives an upgraded dash design, active noise cancellation, and is filled with numerous upscale appointments. Dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery with suede-like inserts, a heated driver's seat, an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and an 8-inch touchscreen with NissanConnect and navigation are just a few of the treats in store for drivers.
GT-R NISMO models add lightweight forged-alloy wheels and carbon-fiber exterior accessories, including the trunk lid, front fascia, rear fascia, rear spoiler and side sills. The cabin also goes NISMO, with an added tachometer, black and red Recaro sports seats, and an Alcantara leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The 3.8-liter turbocharged V6 powerplant has been retuned this model year for increased horsepower. On standard GT-R models, the V6 makes 565 ponies and 467 pound-feet of torque, while NISMO models boost output to 600 hp and 481 pound-feet of torque. Both versions of the V6 are paired with a dual-clutch 6-speed transmission with three driver-selectable modes.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R in McKinney also comes with Brembo brakes, Advanced Vehicle Dynamic Control with three drive modes and a Bilstein DampTronic suspension with three drive modes. All-wheel drive with electronic torque distribution is also standard.
Antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and stability and traction control are all included as standard safety equipment. This model year, the GT-R is also outfitted with a rear backup camera and front and rear parking sensors for a smoother parking process. 2017 Nissan GT-R reviews are also impressed by the supercar's fast and responsive braking system, which you can test out for yourself today at Nissan of McKinney.
