Nissan Future

It's not uncommon for automakers to make updates to their cars and occasionally introduce new models. However, Nissan has a broad range of changes in store for consumers in 2021. Nissan isn't just updating a model or two. This year, it is pulling out all the stops with a revamp of the Frontier pickup truck, Pathfinder SUV and the release of an electric crossover SUV, the first crossover made by Nissan operating on electricity. This crossover, called the Ariya, is also one of the most anticipated releases in the auto industry this year.

Nissan's New Era

The 2022 Pathfinder is all-new. It has gained a more rugged look, and comes with a full suite of advanced safety aids. The Pathfinder features seating for seven or eight, with easy access to the back row, along with plenty of storage space. It includes a new standard nine-inch touchscreen display with the option of upgrading to a larger 12-inch touchscreen interface. For 2022, the Pathfinder also gets a nine-speed automatic transmission, replacing its previous CVT automatic transmission.

One of the most significant changes that Nissan has in store for the upcoming year is the launch of an all-electric crossover called the Ariya. The Ariya is a stylish crossover with a contemporary and modern appearance featuring sleek lines and contoured curves. With the 2022 Ariya, you'll get the latest in the automaker's cutting-edge technology as well. One of the biggest highlights of the Ariya in 2022 is its all-electric powertrain. With the Ariya, you'll get a choice of two batteries and two drivetrains.

Another change Nissan has in store for consumers is an update to its midsize truck, the Frontier. The Frontier will also sport Nissan's latest technology, including more standard safety technology and a more extensive standard touchscreen interface. You will have the option of sticking with the standard nine-inch touchscreen with the Frontier or getting a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen interface. The Frontier is also equipped with contoured Zero Gravity seats for the 2022 model year. The 2022 Frontier has a standard 3.8-liter V6 with 310 HP and a choice of two drivetrains, which are either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.

Nissan Z Proto Sports Car

The all-new Nissan Z Proto is expected to get its power from a twin-turbo V6 engine with 400 HP and paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Z Proto will have the classic short rear deck, long hood proportions and will feature classic Z styling elements with a modern look, but will be recognized as a Nissan Z.

If you're looking for a slightly smaller Nissan that operates on electric power, the Leaf is an equally good choice. The Leaf is a comfortable sedan that accommodates five individuals. The Nissan Leaf has several updates for 2021. This year, you can choose from one of two batteries for additional power and performance. The Leaf averages just over 225 miles of electric range. Safety Shield 360 safety technology is now standard on the Nissan Leaf, and it has an 8-inch touchscreen configured with navigation, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
