Thanks to a record sales year, Nissan has announced that it is looking to expand its crossover offerings by possibly adding two new models.

The new crossovers would live below the Nissan Rogue and be marketed more toward younger drivers who helped make the Juke a very popular model. Reports suggest that one of the new models will be based on the Qashqai crossover that is currently a bestselling model in Europe.

The other new model will either be based on the brand-new Gripz concept (above) or the Kicks concept that debuted in 2014. Either model would sit next to the Juke in the lineup, offering the same sporty design and athletic driving feel.

It is very exciting to see Nissan expanding its lineup in this way. The crossover market is currently one of the most popular segments in the U.S. and we know whatever new models come out of the automaker will become just as beloved as the Juke and the Rogue.

There is not date on when we might see these new models come to Nissan of McKinney, but we’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available. For now, take a look at our current stock of new Juke and Rogue crossovers, available now in McKinney.
