Nissan is hinting at an exciting new powertrain for their upcoming next generation of their very popular GT-R supercar. The automaker is suggesting hat they may offer a hybrid powertrain, giving fans not only a ton of power and agility, but also good fuel numbers, which has consistently been on many sports car owner’s wish list.

This new addition to the GT-R wouldn’t happen until at least the year 2020 when Nisan plans to debut the newest version of the supercar. Introduced during the 2007 model year, the GT-R has been a constant favorite among sports car enthusiasts who love its high power output, as well as its affordable price point compared to other models of its caliber.

Edmunds said in their review of the GT-R, “No car better embodies Nissan's philosophy of building uncompromising performance machines than the GT-R. Easily one of the most capable cars for the money, the Nissan GT-R feels downright invincible on the road.”

We hope to hear even more about the upcoming Nisan GT-R as we move closer to its impending release date. To find out more about our current stock of new and used GT-Rs near Dallas, visit us at Nisan of McKinney today!
