As July 4th fast approaches, it is time to lock in your plans to celebrate our country's 239th birthday. Of course, our family at Nissan of McKinney will be happily celebrating this Independence Day at the Red, White and BOOM! celebration that begins Saturday morning in McKinney and runs through the night. An all-day celebration packed with a hometown parade, a classic car show, family activities, live music, food and professional fireworks, McKinney's Red, White and BOOM! is sure to be a good time for community members of all ages.
Even if you already have plans for Saturday night, you don’t have to miss out on the fun. After all, the Hometown Parade begins at 10 a.m. in Historic Downtown McKinney with plenty of patriotic floats, marches and hometown pride. Car and motorcycle enthusiasts will be dazzled by the Classic Car, Truck & Cycle show set to take place from 1-5 p.m. in downtown McKinney. Additionally, families will find plenty of dining and shopping options throughout the day as they explore our exquisite downtown area.
Continuing the festivities, the Red, White and BOOM! event carries into the evening with family activities and food at the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch beginning at 7 p.m. Plus, McKinney's own American Idol finalist Hollie Cavanagh will be performing live from 8-9:30 p.m. To end the busy day's events, community members are invited to watch the professional fireworks display that will ignite the sky with beautiful colors and patriotic displays.
