Four of Nissan’s new 2016 models have received Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ awards. The 2016 Maxima, 2016 Sentra, 2016 Rogue and 2016 Murano have all been honored by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

"Nissan is proud to again have our core vehicles recognized by IIHS for vehicle safety," said Pierre Loing, vice president, Product Strategy and Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA). "The new Maxima, like the Murano, is setting high standards in its class for styling, performance and interior refinement. The 2016 Nissan Rogue and Sentra demonstrate Nissan’s commitment to high quality and safety standards, and we are gratified that these outstanding vehicles have been recognized for excellent design."

The automaker’s new design language not only provides significant visual and luxury cues to the car’s, it also provides an even stiffer construction and updated safety features that have impressed both critics and drivers a like. These new safety systems include Nissan’s new Forward Emergency Braking system that helps avoid potential accidents. This new system has been highly praised by the IIHS and is a big reason why both the Maxima and Murano both won Top Safety Pick+ awards.
